G. Ambrose, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Ambrose is a graduate of Christian Medical College, Vellore, India.  He completed his surgical residency in India and also completed the Fellowship Requirements of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.  He completed his residency training in the United States at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow. NY after completion of residency, he worked in Weschester Medical Center, in Valhalla, NY and was also on staff at New York Medical College as a tutor in surgery.  During his 5 years there, he was active in teaching residents and medical students the art of surgery.  His areas of interest and expertise are surgery for morbid obesity, all aspects of general surgery and laparoscopic surgery.  His is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  He also holds a membership in the American Medical Association (AMA), American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS), Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SLS).

Please bring the following to your appointment:

• Any past or present lab test results, CT Scans, or X-Rays that pertain to your current illness.

• Insurance referral, if required

• Completed patient intake forms (click links on left side of page to print).

• Insurance Cards

First time appointments can take approximately 45 minutes.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to process your paperwork.

Cancellation Policy:
We ask that if you must cancel your appointment, please give at least 24 hours notice so another patient may be scheduled to see the doctor in your place.

*In case of emergency, one of our surgeons is available 24 hours a day.
