Venous Ulcer (Wound) Care  

Venous ulcers (also called non healing wounds) can be a challenge to heal. The doctors use the most up to date treatments to help heal venous ulcers. These treatments include the application of various types of dressings and the use of substances called growth factors. Sometimes minor surgery (wound debridement) is required to remove any non-living tissue from a wound so that it can heal properly. The choice of treatment is tailored to the individual patient's needs.
